GM Ian Nepomniachtchi (Russia) and IM Reza Mahdavi (Iran) have kept their records perfect so far. As many as 24 participants are half a point behind them.
In the Legends' tournament, Rafael Vaganian (Armenia) is leading the race with 1.5 points out of two.
Kirill Zhelonkin has scored three wins in the U13 open competition. In the girls' section, Alisa Genrietta Yunker is in the lead with 3 points.
Rounds 4 and 5 will take place on Munday, March 2. The games begin at 12:00 and 17:00 Moscow time.
The tournament venue is The Carlton, Moscow (Tverskaya Street, 3).
