It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Aeroflot Open 2025! This year marks the 20th anniversary of this legendary chess festival – a truly remarkable milestone. We are delighted to see the Aeroflot Open continue its rich tradition. Over the years, almost all the greatest stars of the chess world have graced this festival, including Magnus Carlsen, Alexander Grischuk, Ian Nepomniachtchi, the reigning World Champion Gukesh Dommaraju and many other celebrated grandmasters. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Aeroflot for their unwavering support of this festival, the prize fund of which has grown even larger this year. Special thanks also go to "The Carlton, Moscow" hotel for providing a magnificent venue in the heart of the Russian capital. I wish all participants good luck, inspiration, and a tournament full of brilliant games!
