The International Chess Festival AEROFLOT OPEN 2026 will be held from February 27th (arrival date) to March 6 th (departure date), in Moscow at The Carlton hotel, (Moscow, Tverskaya Street,3, Okhotny Ryad metro station).
The program includes the AEROFLOT OPEN 2026 International Chess Festival and the AEROFLOT OPEN 2026 - CHILDREN chess competition among boys and girls under 13 and boys and girls under 15.
Participant Admission Requirements: The competition is open to players FIDE - rated 2300 points and above as of 01.01.2026, provided that the registration fee is paid not later than 00.00 o'clock of February 21.
The competition will be played to the Swiss system in 9 (nine) rounds with the following time control: 90 minutes till the end of the game with a 30-second increment for each participant per each move made, beginning with move one. Default time is 30 minutes. The pairings will be managed by the Swiss Manager computer program.
The guaranteed tournament fund is 18,150,000 (eighteen million one hundred fifty thousand) rubles.
